The Citizens Depopulation Program
In accordance with Florida law, the depopulation program pairs Citizens policyholders with approved private insurance companies to reduce the number of policies the state-run insurer has. This placement helps policyholders avoid possible assessment fees on their Citizens policy (up to 45% of your premium) and offers more coverage options to Florida residents. Learn more.

DEPOPULATION FAQ
We Have Answers
Absolutely! Your current agent will continue to service your insurance policy with Trident.
Nothing! Your policy will automatically renew with Trident with the terms stated in the letter you received. If you would like to adjust the coverages or deductibles on your new Trident policy to something other than what is stated in your letter, contact your agent and they can make these changes for you.
Nope! If your mortgage company pays your insurance premiums, Trident will notify them, provide any necessary information, and send your invoices to them for payment.
If your private-market renewal offer is not more than 20% higher than your Citizens renewal premium, you will not be eligible to stay with Citizens. You do not need to take any action and can automatically accept the Trident policy. If the private-market renewal offer is more than a 20% higher than your Citizens renewal premium, you may be eligible to retain your Citizens policy.
