Position Summary

The Compliance Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the company's adherence to state and national regulatory requirements by supporting data submissions and compliance filings. This position is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting data for various regulatory bodies, particularly the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), including but not limited to Market Conduct Annual Statements (MCAS). The ideal candidate will bring a high level of proficiency in Excel and a deep understanding of Florida property and casualty insurance. The position is hybrid and can be in Greater Tampa Bay, or Greater Orlando FL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports including OIR data calls and NAIC filings such as MCAS in accordance with deadlines and formatting requirements.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and IT teams to compile accurate and complete data for submissions.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory changes at the state and national levels; ensure timely internal communication and procedural updates.
  • Support internal audits and examinations by preparing required documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain and update compliance filing calendars, regulatory inventories, and filing records.
  • Assist in developing and improving compliance processes, controls, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Provide analytical support for compliance metrics, trends, and forecasting.
  • Participate in training initiatives and process documentation related to regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or reporting role within the insurance industry.
  • Direct experience with OIR data calls and NAIC filings, including MCAS, is required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida property and casualty insurance regulations preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict regulatory deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using regulatory filing platforms such as SERFF, iSite, and/or the NAIC portal.
  • Prior work with internal audit or regulatory examination teams.
  • Familiarity with compliance tools or platforms (e.g., compliance tracking software, document management systems).

Position Summary

The Senior Claims Examiner is responsible for handling a caseload of residential property and commercial claims involving DFS Notices of Intent to Litigate, Civil Remedy Notices, mediations, appraisals, litigated files, and other claims as volume dictates. High performers for this position are intuitive, analytical, detail-oriented, and generally possess good business acumen and critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Florida property and casualty insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with outside counsel to develop case strategy.
  • Provide exceptional customer throughout the claim process including the clear communication of processes and timelines.
  • Investigates, manages and resolves claims in a timely, unbiased and informed manner in compliance with company policies, state laws and regulatory performance standards.
  • Sets and maintains adequate claim reserves based on facts of case and in accordance with company policy.
  • Responsible for the receipt, review, and oversight of alternative dispute resolution assignments requiring strategic analysis and response.
  • Manage an inventory of litigated claims in accordance with company practices, guidelines, and industry standards.
  • Document all relevant information in the electronic claims management system accurately and comprehensively.
  • Actively pursue ongoing education to stay current with statutory requirements and legal developments related to litigation and residential property claims.

Qualifications

  • Holds an active state insurance adjuster 6-20 license
  • 5+ years of handling complex and litigated claims under personal and commercial lines in Florida working directly for a carrier
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Insurance, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Word & Excel
  • Attention to detail and also possess the ability to efficiently multi-task
  • Self-Motivated with ability to thrive in a production focused Team Environment
  • Committed to excellent customer service
  • Broad knowledge of construction, estimating and estimating systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Florida insurance laws and Florida good faith claims handling experience
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; your communication style is flexible to the situation; you communicate clearly and with a purpose
